"I absolutely love Martin’s on Gateway Drive in Winchester, VA. I have shopped at this location for years, both for myself and for my clients. However, I’ve encountered a recurring issue that needs to be addressed. On three separate occasions, I’ve purchased chicken breast that did not match the weight listed on the package label. As a professional who portions meat precisely for clients, I weigh everything I purchase. Each time, I found the actual weight to be less than what was advertised. The first two times, management handled the situation appropriately and resolved it. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, the response was disappointing. Younger employees appeared dismissive, and I was told nothing could be done. A meat department employee explained they do not package the meat and have no control over the weighing process. If that is the case, then this may be a corporate-level issue - but regardless, customers should not be paying for product they are not receiving. When the labeled weight does not match the actual weight, it undermines trust. I should not have to purchase additional product to make up for shortages that should not exist in the first place. I have photo documentation of the discrepancies. To be clear, I have no issue with the store location itself, and I have generally had positive experiences there. However, accurate labeling and fair product weight are non-negotiable. I hope this issue is reviewed and corrected so customers can shop with confidence."
